This social skills group is for young adults in Grades 11 to 12 and helps build self-confidence, social interaction, resilience and independence.
The three-day workshop involves fun, challenge-based activities focused on communication, understanding hearing loss, hearing technology and preparing for the transition to life beyond school.
On the last day, participants take part in an off-site challenge based activity. In the past, these activities have included rock climbing, abseiling, escape rooms and scavenger hunts.
Three months after the initial group participants will reunite – a great opportunity to build on the skills learned in the initial group, and strengthen friendships, all while completing a fun group activity.
Follow-up day: Friday, 28 June 10.00am – 2.00pm
The price is determined by the number of participants taking part in the group. Once final numbers are confirmed, Hear and Say can determine the final cost per participant. The maximum amount per participant is $2,500. This can be claimed under your NDIS Capacity Building supports.
The price includes the three-day program, the follow-up day, program resources and individualised reports. If you wish to exit the program, please provide two weeks’ notice, otherwise full charges will apply. You will receive two invoices, one at the end of the three-day program and one following day four. If you are not eligible for NDIS or do not have enough allocated funding and wish to participate please contact at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss further.
