About the Group
For children in Grades Three to Six, this popular four-day group in April encourages participants to build their self-confidence and independence, while also working on social and communication skills.
The skill-building is done through fun, challenge-based activities focusing on communication and problem-solving. . In the past, these activities have included up-cycling furniture, ninja courses, rock climbing and escape rooms.
The group is led by our experienced staff and also helps participants to learn more about their hearing loss, technology and situations frequently experienced by the hearing-impaired population.
The April program is designed for first-time COMET participants. The July and September Brisbane programs are appropriate for both return and first-time participants. Curriculum and activities will allow those who have previously attended to build upon skills learnt while laying foundations for first-time participants.
Follow-up day: Friday, 4 July 10.00am – 2.00pm
