For children in Grades One and Two, this two-day group encourages participants to build their self-confidence and independence, while also working on social and communication skills.

The skill-building is done though fun activities focusing on communication and problem-solving. The group is led by our experienced staff and also helps participants to learn more about their hearing loss and technology.

The price is determined by the number of participants. Once final numbers are confirmed, Hear and Say can determine the final cost per participant. The maximum amount per participant is $1,131.61. This can be claimed under your NDIS Capacity Building supports.

For children in Grades Three to Six, this popular three-day group in April encourages participants to build their self-confidence and independence, while also working on social and communication skills.

The April program is designed for participants who have not attended the Grades Three to Six skills group previously. Programs being delivered in June and September are designed for participants who have attended this program previously to build upon skills.

The skill-building is done through fun, challenge-based activities focusing on communication and problem-solving. In the past, these activities have included up-cycling furniture, ninja courses, rock climbing and escape rooms.

The group is led by our experienced staff and also helps participants learn more about their hearing loss and technology.

Follow-up day: Thursday, 27 June 10.00am – 2.00pm

The skill-building is done through fun, challenge-based activities focusing on communication and problem-solving. 

On the third day of the program, participants will take part in a team-building excursion. In the past, activities have included up-cycling furniture, ninja courses, rock climbing and escape rooms. 

The group is led by our experienced staff and helps participants to learn more about their hearing loss, technology and situations frequently experienced by teenagers with hearing loss. This program is suitable for return and first-time participants.

Follow-up day: Monday, 16 December from 10.00am – 2.00pm
